Michelle is a free lance photographer, bookbinder, published author and museum professional. She earned her Masters of Arts in Museum Studies from John F. Kennedy University, in Berkeley, California, and her undergraduate degree from Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon.
She has over 20 years of experience as a photographer, has won prizes for her work and has been published in numerous magazines. Michelle recently published San Rafael Through Time, a photography-based then & now book comparing lithographs of San Rafael from 1884 to contemporary photographs of the same locations. In 2013 she co-authored A History of the San Francisco State Belt with railroad historian Bill Kaufman. Six years before that she co-authored Modern San Rafael 1940-2000, with Jocelyn Moss, Librarian for the Marin History Museum. All are available nation-wide.
Michelle is currently working on a California Missions re-photography book while she continues her photography and bookbinding projects.
